One Night in Beijing

(or is it Bancock?) -- Anyway, we didn't do too much other than walk down to McD's. One thing we have noticed is that AC is used sparingly. Normally, that would be fine with me, but it is humid and hot (maybe more so than Atl). It was HOT in the McD's so we ate outside where it was muggy and overcast!

Sara and Lauren started singing a song about a dinosaur named Roy or Spikey. They are being so silly - maybe it's their way to prepare for a little sister!

We are having fun and enjoying the sights. At times it still seems unreal that we will have Ally tomorrow. By the time GA wakes up on Sunday, we'll have her (assuming all goes as planned). Can't believe it! Hope she likes us!

We had another decent night of sleep - not great, but OK. It's taking a little longer to adjust than I had hoped. We were up at 5:30 this AM - a little improvement!

Loving the comments and encouragement and prayers! Thanks always! Today we are headed to the Great Wall and Acrobat Show!

Dear Harkness Family,
Our family is living every moment with you all! We sat @ dinner tonight (PF Changs) and talked about you all and what you had posted so far on the blog. Thank goodness for the blog!!! What would I do if I couldn't read about you all everyday!!! We are so excited about your trip! Wish we were there with you! Can't wait to see Ally!!! What a miracle that you all are there and get her tomorrow!!!
Love to each!

I bet it feels amazing to know you will have your little one soon. Take lots of pictures of your trip as I hope to see all of them when you get back. Thanks for keeping us all a little part of trip by blogging :)

Can't wait til Sunday am. We will rush down to the computer to catch a glimpse of her with ya'll!! How was McD? We heard they put eggs on the hamburgers? Hope you can get a little more caught up on sleep. Thinking of Ally everyday as we see her picture on the fridge! Abby painted a China picture under it. Praying all goes well. We know it will. We love you!

Sounds like you are doing all and more than we did in Beijing. I keep thinking of the HOPE for Children picnic last year and how you thought you were so far from knowing anything about Ally and look you are meeting her in just hours!!! How cool is that!?!
